a serene getaway amidst history
superb location canal view helpful staff comforting atmosphere
The location was superb. the gardens were a delight, especially overlooking the grand canal. I loved watching the world float by. the staff were courteous and helpful, something i found very comforting.
The thermostats seemed a bit temperamental. I struggled to adjust the room temperature to my liking. it was a minor inconvenience, though, amidst an otherwise good experience.

The hotel is conveniently near the train station, offering easy access for travel. a vaporetto stop is also very close. this made exploring the city very easy. I could visit major attractions quickly.

room upgrade clean room convenient location fine garden
I received a complimentary upgrade to a superior room upon arrival. the room was beautifully decorated and very clean. the hotel location is close to st lucia station. the grounds feature a fine garden. It overlooks the grand canal.
the interior walls seemed thin. i could sometimes hear neighbors.

breakfast features fresh pastries, alongside a selection of cold cuts and cheeses. a variety of juices are available, as well as hot coffee and tea. the dining area overlooks part of the garden.

the staff swiftly assisted with luggage storage after checkout. receptionists were always available at the desk to answer questions. the concierge provided detailed directions to nearby attractions and made vaporetto arrangements.

my room included a king-size bed with premium bedding and pillows. there were blackout curtains, ensuring a dark room for sleeping. the bathroom had two separate sinks and a rainfall shower head.

carpet stains noise disturbance
the decor seemed pretty worn. i noticed some stains on the carpet and the furniture looked a little dated. also, the noise from outside was quite noticeable (i could hear people talking late into the night) and that definitely made it hard to fall asleep, it wasn't a restful place for sleeping at all. i expected better soundproofing in such a hotel.
